Stupid politicians do not understand why social institutions do not lose their identities overnight
when they are presented with perfectly logical reasons why they should; and these are helped by bad scientists who devote their effort to developing that irrelevant logic.
– Stafford Beer
In addition to the “hallowed” separation between church and state there should also be the separation of money and state, rather, OLD money and state. No corporation may own any media company (except a media company, of course, we’ll have to take a good look at this). Westinghouse, Viacom, Fox, CNN, Disney and General Electric would be dispossessed of all their media holdings. The “airwaves” should be returned to the people, who really own it anyway. The air now is so fetid, no sentient being can stand it. But we can’t “return” airwaves to air heads. We must be frank and admit that mainstream indoctrination and an incredibly mediocre education system has not prepared “the people” for revolution. The middle class doesn’t feel the pain, the real pain of the disenfranchised. So while some of them may wax cynical, and even berate the company they work for, they are cogs in the machinery nonetheless. People are slumbering in their media installed delusions. The stereotypical psycho, living in his “imaginary” sand castle is more lucid than the average bourgeois drone, the working class heroes of the world who question but don’t ask the right questions. Busy themselves with trivia, with the weather, with arguing over who will win the rigged fighting match. The People need to take action on the same level and using similar techniques as Gandhi employed against the British. The first line of civil resistance: STOP WATCHING TELEVISION. Unhook thyself from that cabal. Next? CEASE LISTENING TO AM RADIO. Next? Demand that “supermarket” chains completely remove tabloids from the “impulse buy” section at the checkout stands. Next? CEASE READING THE NEWSPAPER. Next? Cease paying Hollywood for their utterly embarrassingly mediocre and insipid programming. No more theaters and popcorn. Get your intellectual and oral needs elsewhere, drones! Most important: STOP BUYING SHIT YOU DON’T NEED, WHICH IS MOSTLY EVERYTHING. Bring the “economy” to it’s knees. CEASE THE SURFEIT EXPENDITURE ON DEFENSE. Cut that budget down altogether and flow that money into education—a cradle to grave program offering a lifetime of enlightenment for anyone who wants it. WORK WILL BECOME SCHOOL. Work as we know it will stop.

verily it is today when the dead walk the earth. this wretched state deserves what it gets. goodbye civil liberties and rights; hello christo-fascism and anti-intellectualism; see ya later, critical thought….hello perpetual war for perpetual war; hello head coffin industry; hello new burrito surpreme court future appointees, nazis all. Red neck nation. welcome. shop as usual.
had something close to an epiphany last night. a ray of positive light in the midst of a seemingly overwhelming series of shadows. mind you these shadows are not I find within myself but rather what I see of the world about me. Anyway I was watching Huell Howser’s show on PBS and he was interviewing a variety of vendors at a farmer’s market in Hollywood. It was here I got a glimpse of what the world could be like, what a healthy diverse beautiful culture we could be enjoying. I agree with George Carlin that people, taken singularly are generally good, on the whole, and even sometimes interesting
. But when they congregate into various groups and factions, that’s when you see the mayhem begin. Power struggles and politics and so on. And so on and so forth, as our Slave Revolt Radio brother might say. I truly wish we could give up power….and stupidity and just co-exist with one another, celebrate and share our “differences.” Our political culture needs to move beyond elementary school dynamics. We may begin such a shift by concentrating our focus on a proper and comprehensive education at the primary levels. Convert the pushy pigs and the bullies into good citizens early….. People don’t wage war, GOVERNMENTS wage war, and they wage it with people. We need to abolish government. Power to the people, a genuine need and goal. But it seems the world is determined to see more and more 1984-ish environments and fascism reigning in full force, with a “vengeance” we might say.

apathy and ambition. curious mixture of sensibilities in the world today. scratch my back and i’ll scratch yours good old buoy netwerks and so on. unhealthy competition, unwholesome, unseemly, greedom give me greedom or give me meth.
Campaign finance reform. I say, let us not merely stop at this; I say, no soft money ANYWHERE, no soft buddy buddy networks, absolutely no possibility of elitism, of favoritism, nepotism, special interests and so forth. Each candidate would get a fixed income, so to speak, a fixed sum with which to wage his/her campaign. No fund raising would be required, or allowed. This would hopefully put the emphasis on the “issues,” on true problem solving, on core realities affecting all of us. And no lawyers. We’ve had enough lawyers in office. They’ve fucked up the world nearly beyond repair. No guarding of “old money.” Oh my god, what are you proposing, democracy? You’re damned right I am. ‘bout time. Each candidate would get equal time on the telly and the radio and the web and so on. And no one could be excluded from debates. No more two party circus. No more two celled prisons called “parties.” The criteria for achieving nomination? The ability, without any assistance from any ghostwriters, speechwriters or any other kind of help, to clearly articulate central issues and propose intelligent solutions. Perhaps we could hold an essay contest on the web, and the people (a much smarter, sharper populace than we have presently) scrutinize and determine the final candidates. We need to remove the old world motivations for holding “public office.” No more prestige, perks, popularity, all that bullshit goes away. This may truly remove all the bozos from the running. The primary incentive must be to truly serve the people, to represent the disenfranchised, fight for those who cannot defend themselves. Of course, in this ideal world, such embarrassing inequities would be either eliminated or certainly on the way to eradication. No highly aware and ethical person could live with such absurdities. One doesn’t gorge on a candy bar while someone else starves. So conspicuous opulence goes away. In fact, wealth addiction becomes a thing of the past.

Julie Yanni is full of it, and Bob is filled to overflowing. And all are unshackleed, and un-Amwayed, and liberated from late night infomercials forever. Praise Bob.
FUCK THE MPAA RIAA AND CRIA! Fuck em all!
acquisitive, avaricious, avid, bureaucratic, carnivorous, close, closed-fisted, covetous, craving, desirous, devouring, eager, edacious, entropic, esurient, gluttonous, gobbling, gormandizing, grabby, grasping, grudging, gulping, guzzling, hoggish, hungry, impatient, insatiable, insatiate, intemperate, itchy, miserly, niggardly, non-creative, omnivorous, opportunistic, parsimonious, penny-pinching, penurious, piggish, prehensile, rapacious, ravening, ravenous, selfish, stingy, stupid, surfeiting, swinish, tight, tight-fisted, voracious…

The only thing cut up here is a long guitar solo I used in another piece. Often I’ll take the “excess” recording material from various works and re-use them in various contexts. Here I just cut the guitar up mercilessly, put it back together and added a basic faux-funk background with some lazy bass. I called the tune “Dexter” simply because I had no imagination at the time and had just finished watching the latest episode…. Man, does Dex need a new sponsor or what?

Punk Mr. “Fair and Balanced” gets major smackdown from snoop….

Just another brick in the wall…..Yeah, blame congress. Blame the senate. Blame the sun. Blame the moon. Blame the “liberal media.” But you’re the head cheese boner of the outfit. Blame yourself, numb nuts.

Since falafels are somewhat of a staple food in my vegan diet, posting the picture above cannot help but strike me as distasteful in the extreme. However, I shall go on enjoying my falafel and pita and hummus and red onions and tabouleh and tahini dressing because I know that Mr. Bare and Unbalanced never had a falafel in his life, and even if he did, BFD. This is someone who, like George Bush the first’s revelation that “they got scanners in grocery stores,” has just come to the realization that African-Americans can be civilized people. And don’t give me the tepid rationalization that “he was kidding.” O’reilly doesn’t have the wit or the pure sense of irony to “kid” about something of that nature, or of any nature. Hell, he can’t even jack himself off, rumors are….
Today’s entries, while extracted from mainstream and even right-wing sources, because of the way they have been skewered, are definitely NSFW. Because “Fox” turns into “Fuck” so easily….
