Wednesdays is worse…..
I’ve created a new acronym: WASF! Well, it may not be new, but it’s new to me, or for me. What does it mean? Just this:
We Are So Fucked !
Who are we kidding? Look around. The inmates are running the asylum and the media is cheerleading the whole farce into some kind of tragic culmination. Enjoy breathing while you can. Just some cheerful news for your happy hump-day.
Lunatic fringe benefits, a tour through Slack Museum, a pounding, raving Raga with Heavyconfetti guitars, and dick lied to me. Sweet, bitter India Pale Ale eases the pain…..

The spectacle presents itself as something enormously positive, indisputable and
inaccessible. It says nothing more than “that which appears is good, that which is good
appears. The attitude which it demands in principle is passive acceptance which in fact it
already obtained by its manner of appearing without reply, by its monopoly of
appearance. The basically tautological character of the spectacle flows from the simple fact that its
means are simultaneously its ends. It is the sun which never sets over the empire of
modern passivity. It covers the entire surface of the world and bathes endlessly in its
own glory.—Guy de Bord, Society of the Spectacle
Keep nodding, smiling and asking questions and a happy tomorrow is yours, and yours and yours and yours.
Along with H.R. Giger, Moebius and many of the surrealist painters, M.C. Escher was a big influence on me in my salad days (salad with occasional croûtons). I did “art” the old fashioned way then, with pen and ink, pencils, pastels, paint, charcoal. Yeah, it was dirty. But fun. I used to cross-hatch and dot dot my ass off with fine point pens, rapidographs and the like. Now, I create a myriad of effects and textures with a mouse click.
All of this has nothing whatever to do with the two audio pieces below. One is about Bob in the Lower Dimensions, and the other is a blasphemous blend of frenetic fuzz guitar meeting Karlheinz Stockhausen and sampled soul full of the spirit. Or spirits, plural. We are unsure about this.

John Heartfield did amazing collages long, long before Photoshop. Ah how I miss the surrealists….and the dadaists…..

We welcome the resurrection of ubu. If ever there was a digital realm which existed solely for the purpose of “art for art’s sake” ubu is it. Hopefully they will be able to get past the petty and absurd legal snafus (created by scumbag lawyers, not artists) and be able to post videos again. Long live ubu! Fuck all lawyers!
